A Professional Development Opportunity for Secondary Social Studies Teachers in the Colorado Front Range

It has been three years since the United States withdrew from Afghanistan, and Colorado has since welcomed many Afghan immigrants. Did you know that Afghanistan is now one of the top countries of origin for refugee resettlement in the state? As Front Range school districts serve a growing number of Afghan students, many Coloradans still know little about the country. Join this one-day workshop to enhance your knowledge and understanding of Afghanistan’s history, people, and culture.
