Maximizing Foreign Language Output in the Classroom: A dynamic, interactive two-week online course

Teachers will examine and apply six core high-leverage teaching practices (HLTPs) for language instruction, as outlined in Enacting the Work of Language Instruction (ACTFL, 2017). They will design a lesson unit and related activities tailored to their instructional context, and model one HLTP by breaking it down into instructional moves and identifying the teaching challenges addressed. Teachers will evaluate their own and peers’ lessons using the TELL Project rubric for effective language teaching.
