SUMMARY:REGISTRATION DEADLINE: CSEEES Autumn 2024 K-14 Workshop "Exploring the Environmental History of Eastern Europe and Eurasia"
DESCRIPTION:In this virtual workshop to be held on October 26 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm ET\, participants will expand their knowledge of how the environment has shaped human history within Eastern Europe and Eurasia. They will also learn about how attitudes towards the environment and natural resources have influenced the actions of the people living in these regions from the past to the present day. Educators will leave this workshop with a deeper understanding about this topic so that they can lead related discussions with their own students. This year’s workshop will be led by Dr. Nicholas Breyfogle\, Professor of History\, co-lead of the Environmental History Initiative\, and Director of the Harvey Goldberg Center for Excellence in Teaching at The Ohio State University.
