DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, October 23\, 2024 (virtual workshop)\, 3:30pm-5:00pm\nThis afternoon workshop for educators will explore significant issues of gender\, both male and female\, in the Southwest Asian and North African regions from religious and social perspectives\, with a particular emphasis on youth and adulthood. Join our two Georgetown University speakers: Dr. Sarah Omar (Asst. SUMMARY:Islam in Africa: Contemporary Culture in Modern Muslim Societies
DESCRIPTION:This afternoon workshop for teachers will explore contemporary culture in modern Muslim societies and its many influences. The program is a collaboration of the National Resource Center outreach programs at Georgetown University’s CCAS and ACMCU\, and the African Studies Centers at Boston University and Howard University.
