A Reading of Contemporary Japanese Poetry in Translation by Sawako Nakayasu

Sawako Nakayasu is an artist who combines language, performance, and translation. Her work focuses on translation and she has been received the PEN Award for Poetry in Translation for her work on The Collected Poems of Chika Sagawa. As a part of The American Literary Translators Association (ALTA) annual conference, Ms Nakayasu will give a reading selected poems in translation at the University of Arizona Poetry Center.
