Please join us for a special fall session of our Global Studies Virtual Symposium, an event that connects global studies scholars and educators across community college campuses nationwide. The symposium offers an engaging teaching and learning forum for sharing best practices, ideas, and resources with colleagues.
During this special fall session, Janet Scott and Nicole Trevana Flores at Southeast Community College in Nebraska will explore the process of creating and implementing a Global Studies Certificate and subsequently an Introduction to Global Studies course, in order to obtain approval for the Certificate. In building the program, constant efforts have been taken to ensure a broad, yet specialized, course approval process. Janet Scott and Nicole Trevena Flores will also discuss the marriage between the Certificate and the Denizen program to allow students several options for an internationalized focus.
