Islam in Africa: Contemporary Culture in Modern Muslim Societies

This afternoon workshop for teachers will explore contemporary culture in modern Muslim societies and its many influences. The program is a collaboration of the National Resource Center outreach programs at Georgetown University’s CCAS and ACMCU, and the African Studies Centers at Boston University and Howard University. This talk will be part of a series on contemporary African and Middle Eastern culture. Attendees will also receive practical suggestions for the classroom.
